Working Offline with Cloud Foundry in Windows

Cloud Foundry has this article on working offline without connecting to the internet. In this way you will not need the token and can work with no connection. My Micro Cloud Foundry v1.1.0 VM is installed on a Windows box

You can create a SSH tunnel using openSSH. Once installed you should be able to open a new command prompt and use the ssh command :-

Or you should be able to create PuTTY to create a SSH tunnel between your windows box and the VM as shown below:-

You can confirm that it is working by opening a new command window using following commands:-
vmc target api.vcap.me
vmc login admin@vcap.me
Then bring up the browser verify

Comcast DTA self-install kit

Comcast is upgrading their network now and changing Analog into Digital Signals. Hence it has shipped DTA boxes to all customers. In short,

Cable---> TV
now is changed to
Cable---> DTA box ---> TV

Back part of my Sony TV. I am indicating where and how my cable connection through coax is wired into the TV.

Connections done! Comcast DTA box beautifully sitting in a small area behind the TV. Notice the Cable in (white) and TV out (black), remote signal receiver and power cord.

Coax cable (white) which replaced the black one. The other end of this white coax cable goes into the DTA

Thunderbird finally fixes their upgrade problems

Earlier I had reported Thunderbird upgrade issues and also raised a ticket in the system which was closed with the reason “Since you have installed in D:\Program Files which is not a standard Windows install location its Windows that is blocking the installation”.

I did not change any windows settings so it seems the Thunderbird team have fixed this issue. Check screen shots below..
